Yeah, that deck lost 85% durability and sustainability by drilling screws in corners like that, shell learn soon enough when boards start popping off.

I have no experience but I remember watching a YouTube where the deck should have a gap between boards to avoid warping during temperature changes.

No way that’s holding the board down more securely than it would from the top. Not to mention, I bet when the boards dry and shrink it will pull up.

You don't really need this tool at all, you can do it without it. But I can see how some could benefit from using this. more power to ya.

that deck is not gunna last long. minimum board spacing is 1/8". if it's not covered prob won't last 2yrs
