Homeowners absolutely should know that if a breaker is tripping, there is probably a good reason, and don't just keep flipping it back on.

Just had same issue. 100A sub panel drawing 148 amps 💀 had to replace water heater, breaker, address melted wire. Night before going to Maui lol

Word of advice never hire a handyman to install electrical. Always hire a qualified electrician. Risking your life over a few extra $ isn’t worth it
