I was working through an agency. I’ve just been told I won’t get anymore work because OH won’t pass me on a screening for safety critical work because I’m medicated for epilepsy which is controlled btw has been for 4 years, they’re comparing me to Group 2 DVLA standards when I don’t drive, but theyre saying I need to meet those standards to work in a safety critical role; yet I’m cleared to drive which is a saferty critical task, so it they’ve cleared me surely they don’t see me as a risk for sudden incapacitation? They’ve not risk assessed me, all ive had was an email to say they can’t offer me anything ‘non safety critical’ so they can’t offer me anything. I’m being told I’m a risk for sudden incapaciton, yet they’re catering for other disabilities/illness’s that pose the same risk……

Can I ask you a question? I have ADHD and ASD and have known adjustments and an occ health assessment doe these from a few years back. Fast forward to now where I was unfortunately off work due to a snowball of symptoms for another condition. Solicitor tells me it also counts as disability due to the chronic nature wnd severity of it over the past year. First day back on phased return I was notified I was in a pool of one for redundancy. It is spurious logic and I feel others objectively should be in the pool too. They couldn’t answer where the work was going and were cagey on the excess capacity of some in my team. I don’t feel they discriminated directly on the ASD and adhd but they didn’t refer to my adjustments or adapt the notification or process for me. Their faces were blank when I asked them what they’d adjusted. They then put it all back on me. But the reason for redundancy is totally the 3rd condition and the timing shows insensitivity at best and discrimination against the phased return at worst. Does this sound right? I’ve been there a number of years but their settlement offer is v low.

I had my employer refused my successful trial of 6 months flexible hours due to a pre-existing unrelated disability. since raising grievance they have been underhanded and reducing my microbreaks.
