@tardibabe: You’ve got to see the gorgeous little creatures I found in this pond 🥹 Clip 1 shows a graceful Phacus helikoides, a leaf shaped micro algae that can be found in freshwater habitats all over the world! They mainly feed by photosynthesis; they synthesize their own sugars with sunlight energy and carbon dioxide ☀️ Clip 2 shows a golden algae colony composed of flagellates that possess golden-colored plastids used for photosynthesis. They bear some of the same pigments that are found in diatoms; chlorophyll c and fucoxanthin! Every little yellow dot that compose the bigger yellow colony are single cell bearing two flagella used for locomotion. Clip 3 are Water Fleas viewed under polarized light to make them look shiny! Daphnias, commonly named water fleas, are small planktonic crustaceans measuring from 1 to 5 mm that can also be found in freshwater habitats all around the globe. Clip 4 shows filamentous green algae called Spirogyra which are characterized by spiralling chloroplasts. There’s also a small rotifer crawling on top! In clip 5 you can see flatworms from the Dalyelliidae family. They’re free living and not dangerous to humans 😄 they have little black eyes and move around with the help of thousands of cilia beating together, muscles and mucus secretion. Clip 6 shows a rotifer called Testudinella, it has a flattened and circular body! Rotifers, also known as “Wheel Animals”, are some of the smallest animals on this planet and get their name from the ciliated crowns located on their head, a characteristic structure used for both locomotion and gathering food particles. In the clip 7, you can see a small Chydorid, a cousin of water fleas! They’re both microscopic crustaceans with leaf-shaped legs used for respiration and feeding. They’re abondant in freshwater habitats like ponds and lakes and play a major role in food chain by being preyed on by fishes, birds, frogs and other small predators. #fyp #microscope #Outdoors #nature

I was the believer of simulation theory. But microscopic world made me realize that its not possible to create this complex simulation. I think we can never know the truth about creator.
