Been in love and filled with the Holy Spirit but on July 6, 2025, I chose to finally get baptized It was very important to me to get baptized because the Lord has been telling me to for months. The reason why I hadn’t is because I knew my pervious church home wasn’t the place to do it at. God led me there to help me get into the habit of going to church, introduce me to dance ministry, and to help get our relationship started. But I fairly quickly “outgrew” the church, if you will I remember the day I realized the church wasn’t convicting me, the sermons weren’t preaching holiness and righteousness, and I needed more…I was ready for more I prayed for God to lead me to a truly Holy Spirit-filled church. I grew up Catholic but since FULLY surrending my life to God in 2024, He has shown me so much regarding His power and the Holy Spirit by way of podcasts, testimonies, and social media content. Things I did not learn growing up Catholic ever The Lord led me out of my old church and to my current church home which is so filled with the Spirit of God, it’s incredible. I began speaking in tongues my first couple weeks since attending this church. I have been given prophetic words. I am now more serious about living a righteous lifestyle for God. And I have a community of believers who aren’t interested in what feels good. They’re interested in dying to flesh daily and I’ve made some godly friends who disciple me and help unlock and grow the gifts of the Spirit within me. They see the gifts God has given me and encourage me in them. For His glory. I knew this was the church home for me right away Though I was baptized as a baby in the Catholic Church, God has taught me that that isn’t actually biblical and really doesn’t count. So now that I have made my own decision to fully walk with God, I got baptized for real for real. And it felt amazing. I was already filled with His Spirit but my baptism is a public declaration of my acceptance of the free gift of salvation. Of my joining the winning team, the Creator’s team I am so so excited to continue getting to know God on a personal, intimate level. I’m excited for Him to continue training me up into a virtuous and mighty woman of God. I’m excited for Him to continue using me to serve others. I’m excited to share my faith and plant seeds and be a light. I’m excited to let my life me a testament for the love and transformative power of God, not just to strangers on the internet but more importantly, my family and friends If you needed a sign to go get baptized, this is it!!
