to run a F1 car at ONE grand prix is roughly $20M. to run an ENTIRE SEASON of indy car is only $10M.... huge difference.

Best way I’ve heard it described is “F1 is an engineering sport that promotes race car drivers as Indy car is race car drivers that promotes engineering” if that makes any sense
