Important to note, this blocks a large portion of ads, but not all. Most social media where the ad is the same format as the content, it can't block.

A lot of “smart” devices will not allow you to set up a custom dns server so it won’t work for that unless you router lets you set a default AND falls

I use a hosts file adblocker in tandem with a browser adblocker for the most ad free existence. This is on both my Android and Desktop.
