@mamatangcooks: Braised Bitter Melon recipe It tastes a bit sweet, and savory. This is typically a cold chinese appetizer or side dish. (Similar to the one Din Tai Fung has). You can also eat it warm when it comes off the stove. INGREDIENTS 1 tsp soy sauce 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tbsp avocado oil 1 1/2 cups water 4 slices of Ginger 2 stalks of green onion PREP 1. Rinse the bitter melon and green onion with water 2. Cut the bitter melon, Ginger and green onion COOKING 1. Put the avocado oil on the pan 2. Put ginger and green onion for a few seconds mix on the pan 3. Add in the bitter melon, soy sauce, brown sugar and water. Cover and stir 4. Keep covering and stirring for 20 minutes 5.
