In my experience using tape, you have to pull it before the paint, completely dries or it takes it back up.

Replace with new laminated countertops before time/money/etc of painting. I wouldn’t think it would hold up well long term anyway. Good luck!

I painted my kitchen counter tops. Had to sand the surface then clean really well. I peeled the tape before it was dry too.

From the layers of clothing you are wearing I think it is too cold for the paint to cure properly, too many coats of primer.

I’ve used this before. The underneath coats likely didn’t have enough dry time. Before top coat. Also, 300 grit sandpaper is crucial.

This looks like old laminate. It's relatively cheap to purchase small sections of counter top redone. There is also the option of laminate sheeting you can carefully remove the old & apply new. 🤷

No “kit” needed. Clean with TSP prime with STIX (Benjamin Moore) product and then paint.
