i always say ‘may i’ before i touch a friend if they ask me to fix their hair/outfit/etc im not LITERALLY asking permission its a cute way for me to say im about to make contact so theyre not startled

during a consult, someone could say no and you can still have a conversation to see if you're the right fit. or it opens a door to say "yes and" where I can set some boundaries or insecurities
