WELL, YALL THE TIME IS FINALLY HERE! I have officially created my bar prep study plan from now till February 2026! If you fail to plan, you're planning on failing! We don't want that! The first step to starting Bar Prep is PRAYER!! After commencement hubby and I thought about the time that I would need to rest and reset. We took time to seek the Lord, and we agreed that the July bar exam was not the right time for me. I’ve taken these past couple of months to truly rest; mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and now it’s time to begin. July 15th; marked the start of my 7-month bar prep journey, leading up to the California Bar Exam in late February 2026 (Feb 25–26). Some people study for three months, and a few even told me seven months was “too long.” But Mike and I have prayed, and this is what the Lord showed us. This is our timeline. And now, the journey begins. A Morning of Prayer, Scripture & Clarity. This morning, I began with prayer and meditation by the water alone, followed by a hike and prayer with my husband later. Thank you to Brother Claude, who poured into me with powerful words and scriptures. He reminded me that Ephesians 6:10–20 calls us to “put on the full armor of God” because we are God’s soldiers even within the legal systems of this world. That means we don’t enter this profession to conform to it, we’re sent to fight for justice, truth, and mercy as agents of the Kingdom. Mike led us in a beautiful prayer and reminded me how important it is that married couples pray together. He said: “Let’s stay focused on the Lord’s will not ours. Let’s not be distracted.”

Mike led us in a beautiful prayer and reminded me how important it is that married couples pray together. He said: “Let’s stay focused on the Lord’s will not ours. Let’s not be distracted.”"Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." Here are some scriptures I am currently reading and meditating on: Matthew 7:7–11"If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away..." Matthew 18:8 (Stay focused, cut distractions!)"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7" and Hebrews 13:5"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." My husband, is not just my prayer warrior, he’s also one of my study partners. During law school, every time I talked to him beforehand, something he said ended up being what I needed. He’s wise and grounded in the Word. This is our mission now. My other study partner is Ashley, my sister in Christ and my friend from law clinic, she is in this with me too. Iron sharpens iron. We’re going to uplift each other through it.Thank you Professor Katherine Danna; my mentor and true God-send. To Professor Lakitua Bittle, your strength and encouragement are priceless. Professor Friedman, Professor Rodgers, Professor Gabra, and Professor Chiefer, you were my favorites, and I truly feel like you have prepared me well. I will make you proud. To my law school;Trinity Law School, thank you. I’m prepared. I’m rooted AND I AM READY! Carol, my front desk angel; I love you. I know you and Katie are praying for me. NOW TO MY SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITY, I know some people shut the whole world out during bar prep, BUT That’s not my way. I was a 3.8 student in undergrad, and I never shut down. You guys fuel me. Your love, encouragement, and prayers help me keep going. This is about balance. I’ll still be here sharing fitness posts, reflections, updates etc. as long as the Lord gives me the desire and strength to do so. I may not post every day, but please know: you matter to me. I’ll always make time to connect because we’re in this together. Let the preparation begin. And may God get the glory.
