@drjessicaknurick: What was your experience? I’m willing to be wrong about this being universal, but I’m not a fan of breastfeeding-specific clothes. And this worked way better for me. #breastfeeding #breastfeedingclothes #creatorsearchinsights
I had my baby in December and was always cold. I wore the nursing hoodies and the tank tops all the time. For me it was a good purchase. Everyone is different

Nursing tank tops are the only thing I think is worth buying. I wear them every day!!

nursing/pumping bras were a necessity for me. my friend wore a normal bra and could rig it to pump but my boobs are too large. everything else I agree

Yeah just needed the bras and wear large shirts I can pull up!

i just buy dresses that i can easily pull down/to the side, not specifically BF ones! and then i can wear them normally after BF and reminisce 🥰

I think if you’re smaller then that’s fine, but for us well endowed ladies, we need more supportive bras. Super supportive sports bras don’t have enough stretch to pull down to feed…

I bought kindred bravely sports bras… expensive but I wore and used those things religiously! They worked for breastfeeding and using my Willow Go pumps!

I’m exclusive pumping. Pumping bras are amazing for me and 6 semi business casual pumping shirts for the two days in office. Otherwise baggy shirts or lower cut tank tops 👍

Yes! I got so frustrated by all the weird flaps and zippers that I ended up just living in tank tops lol

I love wearing a shirt over a v neck dress. Pull the shirt up and the dress down and you can feed easily and discreetly 😁

Yep! I also realized nursing bras are a waste of money, I just lifted up the bra I was wearing and it worked great 😅

I like the tanks bc you can use them to hold the pumps up while pumping but other than that I never used any of the clothes

I feel like this really depends on your size and your bra size. as someone with large breasts, I needed breastfeeding- and pumping-specific bras and clothes if I didn't want to take everything off

I like wearing dresses and you can’t really pull them up and I don’t like popping my entire boob out so I like the nursing dresses. Shirts I don’t care about.

I’m so happy I only bought one breastfeeding sweatshirt, I did use it throughout the winter while breastfeeding, now I just wear whatever I want that has easyish access.

I disagree. I went without for my first. My body was much different then I was tiny. It was easy to work around. Now that I’m heavier, regular clothes that work with breastfeeding don’t work well

Honestly the only breastfeeding specific items that i think would be worth it are the bras with the snaps 🤷🏼♀️other than that I think you can get away with normal clothes

I’m cheap and didn’t buy a single nursing item. Just wear sports bras and shirts I already owned. Nursing pads I did buy however, I couldn’t get by without those.

I loved my breastfeeding shirts. They could be lifted at the 1/2 way point and still cover my belly. They also didn’t have as much material bunching in babies face. I BF 4.

Agreed. I only bought nursing bras since I pump and they tend to support wearables and flanges better but yeah nursing clothes are unflattering and useless IMO

I loved button down shirts 10/10. I also needed nursing/pumping bras bc I had 36J’s when I was breastfeeding 😮💨 can’t just casually pull those puppies out of a sports bra.

I found the nursing bras and camisoles were essential so I'm not stretching out my clothes. Then I just found clothes with 3-quarter zippered or button fronts which I can still wear.

I bought one nicer dress for events/parties bc none of my were easy to breastfeed in otherwise a nursing bra and a looser shirt was how I lived lol

I like the nursing clothes when I’m out in public because I think they’re more discreet, but when I’m at home it’s regular tank tops all the way!

Random question about safe foods - does the no deli meat apply to meat alternatives such as tofurkey deli slices and fake hotdogs?

Im at almost 1 year ebf and I love my bf clothes and bras. my days are stressful enough I dont want to be wrestling with my clothes on top of it 😅 the ease of access is worth it to me.

I bought so many nursing items and then realized I preferred to pump a few times a day instead of nursing throughout 🤦♀️Only nurse at night when I’m in pjs anyway! 😭

The camisoles with the snaps have been lifesaving during pregnancy. I can’t really fit an actual bra and they’re my best alternative right now. But I didn’t buy anything else

I can’t agreee more! Struggling now to find pieces I can use beyond nursing because this is my last baby and I am at a point in my life where quality vs quantity with clothes is my top priority.

I agree except for the nursing bra that is also a hands free pumping bra. That is the best thing ever invented and I will die on that hill.

Honestly… I stayed topless for WEEKS. I put a tank on if family visited. But especially at night, I just went topless. Now I did have to change my sheets pretty often 😂
