@_sethhughes: I dream of ancient Britain, where vast forests, wolves and herds of Auroch are surrounded by an inconceivably abundant ocean. This summer has been about trying to connect with that wild Britain, in an attempt to shed my own layers of domestication. It’s been a combination of both intense joy and intense grief. It’s painful to turn and face how far we’ve been removed from our homes, and more painful still to be such a novice at the skills necessary to return home. A summer of swallowing big pills, more to pills to come I’m sure. This ancient British ecosystem I hold in my mind’s eye will return whether we’re here or not.
