@cosmicsummit: There were over 100 species of megafauna that did not survive the end of the ice age. 12 to 13 thousand years ago you had several species of elephants inhabiting what we now know as Tennessee. What happened to these elephant species? Was it really hunters putting them into extinction? Or does finding them frozen in permafrost give us clues to a different story?
