We prefer it over the other satellite devices because of its global connectivity, long battery life, and mapping tools. 4️⃣ Sweat wicking layers and sun protection Sunshirts are all the rage these days for good reason. They don’t have to be expensive - I found this one at the Arcteryx outlet for $30. 5️⃣ Emergency Bivy - We always keep a form of emergency shelter in our sack even for day hikes as backup. It’s one of the key elements in a survival situation and you could save a life with it!
