Yup. OR when you show any “negative” traits like sadness or anger, you get ripped to shreds bc they were waiting for you to do something “dark sided”

And in my experience if they can’t find something negative, they will literally ✨make it up.✨ 🤦🏽‍♀️🙃

That’s projection because I used to think people couldn’t be bad and they must be good. That was me projecting my goodness onto them

but also, if someone dislikes you for no reason, let that be a sign that on the inside, they are not good. no one good is mad at u for being good.

My mom has this problem. She’s chipper and helpful and people just don’t like it sometimes. They think she’s so fake and she’s always shocked. I don’t get it either!

I think it makes other people feel inadequate when they see someone they think is doing better than them but are in the same position as them. They actively try to find things wrong about you so they can make themselves feel at ease about not doing more.

I think it stems from this problem we have in society where most people do things for an outward appearance and to fit in and almost no one has true self awareness, most people can’t even be alone

My ex used to get mad at me for not taking the bait and “always having to be the bigger person” & said that I acted “morally superior.” I was just being kind - took a year to realize it wasn’t abt me
