As a manager I always scheduled an “on call” if u were scheduled for night and someone calls out before 3pm.(shifts start at 5) then you have to go in. If they call out after 3pm i always went in.

Day after Christmas no closers OR mids were scheduled and the closing manager called out so I closed us down at 9am after the GM came and went without a care.
