I was thinking does washi have some connection to mandarin becuase if I’m not totally mistaken they say wo shi in mandarin and they sound similar

わし(washi) sounds like older, in Osaka dialects, some people use Washi, but mostly it’s only old people n if u use it even u r young, we feel it’s curious
