@askvinh: I love this about Americans... I lived their for 5 years and the culture and conversation around failure is drastically different from the Asian culture. Fear of failure in the Asian culture comes from the unrealistic expectations around not failing and the constant pressure to strive for perfection. What do you think? Do you suffer from a fear of failure?
You can see this pattern in Europe as well - we don't like/want to fail, therefore many people don't even try anything, like building a business or whatsoever... That's a pity, what need to be trained

I think we value success after you have failed. Meaning you kept trying. Just failing, never that

My music teacher said a very powerful statement years ago, he said “Most professionals have failed MORE than what you and i have failed collectively, trying to become as successful as what they are today, so every time you fail, just know you’re inching closer to something spectacular”

@Vinh Giang did you also live in Australia? Your sound resembles Aussie language patterns “good on ya for giving it a good go”

Ahistorical generalizations about “Asian” (no such) culture ignoring the material realities shaping those ideals meets US entrepreneur fantasy that doesn’t exist for 90% of the American population
