What's up with property tax? It was said at some point that we wouldn't have to pay on property that I have owned for years??

I heard that it is actually a 30% sales tax. Does this mean the national sales tax will be in addition to city and county sales taxes? If so, that would make sales tax roughly 40% on every purchase.

How do people get upset with 23% sales tax? If you combine all the taxes you pay now and how much everything you buy is marked up because of taxes you are spending way more than 23% on taxes now

Would local state sales tax be lumped on top of that? How about no tax on food for sure.

I would be happy with just eliminating ALL tax deductions credits and loopholes and make the tax so simple that if you have a regular job there is no need to file taxes. Just the % taken from pay

Great ideas - HR25 and more. I agree I’m not huge on a flat sales tax of 23% but you know what - if I’m not paying outrageous other taxes it might not be that bad !

Why not just do away with about 60% of the bureaucratic state that is the federal government and negotiate more fair trade deals with our trading partners around the world and than do away with all

23% seems pretty steep. Perhaps have sales tax based on the amount of the purchase. Flat tax at 10% up to a certain amount, say $75k. Then goes up slowly to their 23% they want

I have always said it would never happen bc then the politicians would end up paying taxes instead of using loopholes. Even though there's a greater chance I still don't think they'd do it.
