My 6th grade teacher changed the trajectory of my life as wel, i told the class to be quiet so she could teach and she went to the principal n said i intimidated her so they put me in a bad kids school and I started getting beat up by cops (they had police in the halls instead of pictures of our art)

I was also one point off. I was so young I don’t remember every detail but I think it was fudged for me because we were such an impoverished area I was the only one in my school that was that close. So I became the only gifted student and then the following year there were two more.

I had a teacher in the 10th grade & if it wasn't for her caring, I never would have got the glasses I desperately needed or that I was finished w high school early. She pulled me aside in the middle of another teachers class & told me I was done & I didn't need to be there & we walked out together. We weren't even super close. She just cared so much ab her students. I think of her often
