I think road construction signs need to start directing people to zipper merge, if that's what people find more efficient. We have different generations driving etiquette clashing on the road.😬

In congested traffic, the zipper merge is the correct and best way. Lining up single file when there is an open lane is not efficient at all. Zipper merging is the most efficient way to move congested traffic when a lane is about to end.

I can attest that southern people have no clue how to zipper merge. Coming back to East Texas has shown me that they will lineup for 15 miles and leave that dang lane open and make traffic even worse.

My pet peeve is when people stop to merge onto the freeway when there’s another quarter mile to merge in and cause a back up way back.

My biggest pet peeve and I won’t let anyone in at the last minute. Just last week I watched a pickup truck bounce some orange cones trying to race in front of me. Oopsy
