I did a sub-panel in a super old farm house. It had a knife switch that was 5’ tall. Incredible old stuff!!

My shop sometimes does work for a yacht that was converted from an old icebreaker ship in the early 1900’s. They used DC power and had fuse panels and open bus bars like this in the hull of the ship.

I’ve worked in old buildings that has those in them. We disconnected put new in, but left those in because they were art.

Work in penn station and we took down a bunch of old meter banks from the 1930s. Everything back then was built to last. This a beautiful fuse box
