@organized_adventurer: Who knew a long drive through deep sand would lead to a rocky playground straight out of a Dr Seuss book 🤯 We first visited White Pocket a few years ago, and ever since then we wanted to go back for an overnight camping trip. Our van is 4x4 but too lengthy to safely navigate through some of the crazy roads it takes to get to this remote location in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. So, we decided to rent a jeep from @roam.outdoor.adventures (sponsored) for the drive. It was the perfect trip, watching sunset over the crazy formations, stargazing from our comfy sleeping pad in the bed of the jeep, and waking up outside under the sun’s warm glow. We’ve been here twice now and would go back again and again. It’s truly a photographer’s and explorer’s dream, with endless vantage points to discover. If you go, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle with high clearance, and the experience to know how to drive it in deep sand! White Pocket is very remote, with no cell phone service or bathroom facilities, so bring a wag bag and pack out ALL of your trash!
