every time an expecting mother shows excitement about her baby, “seasoned” parents immediately jump to “you just WAIT, you’ll see it gets worse, etc.” but we’re supposed to think they’re happy? hmmm…

Uh no, sacrifice is part of it, but the bigger issue is the lack of support for mothers. Lack of paid maternity leave, lack of affordable childcare, lack of reliable jobs for mothers, etc.

I have 5 kids. I personally have never felt that way. I love having them around, but I do have friends who have felt that way. I feel like society pressures some ppl into having kids when they didn't want them.

My biggest gripe with children is I won’t have them if my partner isn’t ready to sacrifice for them to the level I am & a lot of people don’t see kids as the commitment they truly are

I think a lot of it stems from no hope for the future too tho. Like a lot of people are afraid of the future… why bring kids into a miserable life. Not always but it’s a factor too.

I think she is surrounded by younger people in Hollywood who are thinking me me me. They are happy their parents “sacrificed” to have them but aren’t willing to do same because they are so important
