Hear me… I’m a 34 year veteran doctor of physical therapy. I literally make the exact same salary as a new grad PT. And we do NOT get yearly raises. We haven’t gotten a raise in several years.

Why do nurses vote against unions? Genuinely curious. My hospital did prior to me being a nurse there and I never understood.

I can talk to you about being a nursing California cuz I have one now. I started my career in Nashville Tennessee as a nurse making $23 an hour right now in California I make five times that.

I’m literally so confused because I would LOVE a union but there are so many nurses I know who actively do not want a union so it has failed every time it’s been attempted at my hospital

I worked as a RN in Cali in 2000 and 2001 and we were unionized and it was wonderful! We got an hour lunch break and 2 15 minute breaks during our 12 hour shift and ur patients were covered by a nurse

I worked at a union. We still had broken equipment. We were still tripled in the ICU. Either our union wasn’t very good or I don’t know what.

No bc our union does nothing for us. Unsafe staffing? Fill out a form that goes into the abyss. Oh this nurse was high on the job it's fine the union is FIGHTING for her job. $80/m for what?!!?!

I didn’t think the union was that important as a new grad but I 1000% it’s worth every penny of my union fees $80 a month worth it they fight the hospital on breaking state labors laws!!
