@benxjane: As we approach the end of this “pregnancy content” era (as our drafts are now nearly finished😅) I just want to take time to appreciate my husband. I really couldn’t have done it without him.. every time you guys tell me I humbled pregnancy, I say a little thank you in my heart to my husband. He saw me. He saw my struggles and he held my hands through it all. The only thing my husband didn’t see at first was my big nose, lips and my hyperpigmentation 😅 he genuinely never noticed any change no matter how much I pointed it out, and when he started thinking I felt bad that he couldn’t see these changes, he’d just compliment me each time I mentioned a new change in my body Me: *Looks in the mirror* “my nose is bigger today” Otunba: “You look beautiful babe. You’re growing a human, the changes are absolutely normal and you look beautiful to me” And just like that, I wasn’t bothered by all the changes my body made, I’m reminded that what I’m experiencing is literally a miracle and I embraced all the changes that came with it. And now with postpartum, I didn’t think he could be any better than he already is.. but he’s made /still making postpartum a positive experience for me. Thank you baby, don’t worry I’m already pricing one house to buy for you in central London😅 To end this, I just want to say: Girl to girl, pregnancy and child birth is hard, i personally have never felt anything more painful.. and postpartum isn’t any easier. if you can, please don’t do it with an unkind or nonchalant person… and genuinely do it because of you, because you want to, you’re ready, you’re prepared. No other person but you.
