@officialwmp: Today, we hosted a Police Community Open Day to close off the National Police Dog Trials 🚔🐾 We had a fantastic turn out, with so many of you turning out to see our talented police officers and dogs from across the UK. We were also joined by West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Midlands Fire Service and our sponsors including Royal Canin, @Agria Pet Insurance UK Our handlers, Sgt Matt Colston and PCs Lisa Phillips and H Loy competed with dogs Charlie, Lightning and Dredd did a fantastic job in the competition 🤩 Well done to PC Peter Flinn and Police Dog Bella from @Avon and Somerset Police who won the competition 🏆 We had displays from our Operations Unit, including Firearms, Traffic, Operational Support Unit, Drones and of course our dog unit who put on a fantastic display as usual 🌟 A big thank you to @Solihull College & Uni Centre who provided physio and wellbeing checks to the police dogs competing and @Maverick Mutts who donated a pool to us for the week so that our dogs and pups had some playtime 🌊 On Thursday and Friday, we were joined by schools across the #WestMidlands who came along to meet the officers and dogs involved in the trials as well as some of our other departments such as a traffic unit and drones.
