don't worry its meant to fall apart ... it's not a consistent cake we do eat it when it is hot with a little spon ... and you can change the syrup with Evaporated milk and sugar it's so good 👍 😋

It’s quite alright for ur first basbousa, also it isn’t necessarily made with coconut some use it some not also every family has their own recipe, u should add saffron, cardamom and milk rose water and sugar+ little condensed milk trust me the syrup would make the basbousa so good
