@hudsonranchconservation: The California Condor is the largest North American land bird. It became extinct in the wild in 1987 when all remaining wild individuals were captured, but has since been reintroduced to the coastal mountains of California, northern Arizona and southern Utah (including the Grand Canyon area and Zion National Park), and northern Baja California in Mexico. The species is listed by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature as Critically Endangered! As of recent data, the California condor population has a total of 561 individuals, with 347 in the wild and 214 in captivity. #california #condor #conservation #nonprofit #nationalpark #genz
