Yes, I am aware I made a terrible decision, but you never think it can go this bad, go easy on me please On the 8th of July 2025 I got double jaw surgery and Genioplasty with care in turkey and dr turab ismayilov, I was insecure about my appearance, and had a crossbite I wanted to address, care in turkey responded very fast when I contacted them and told me I was a good a candidate for jaw surgery. I had sent them some selfies and an xray I was reccomended either a jaw surgery or high level lefort 1, and sent the packages which include your 5 star hotel stay, airport transport etc, along with some videos of the dr where he speaks about his passion for maxillofacial surgery, I asked about a Genioplasty to help balance my features and they said yes, we continued to communicate until I booked my flights to Istanbul and then went to the clinic, I went to their orthadontist and did some scans, I thought I was getting a lefort 1 and genio at this point. Fast forward to to the day of the operation and dr turab comes into speak to me and I speak about my insecurities and he then mentions doing double jaw surgery instead of the lefort 1. To change this on the day of the surgery should have been a clear sign that I was not in good hands but I was foolish and decided to do the double jaw surgery & genio. I get the surgery and wake up hours later extremely swollen, and in a lot of discomfort which was expected, the nurses took great care of me and I was told the survey went well and I’m going to look so good etc. They sent me links of their clinic on trustpilot and for Google reviews and asked me to fill out a good review for them, even though I had just had my surgery they wanted me to get reviews out and mention everyone and my great experience thus far. I saw the dr a few days later he just tried to make me close my mouth which of course was uncomfortable and asked me if I was happy, (what is there to be happy about when your face is swollen like a balloon) I recovered at my hotel then went home, I noticed lots of uneven swelling on the right side of my jaw and it started to flare up again around 6 weeks post op but eventually came down again, I noticed that I had asymmetry, my mid face looked very flat, and my lips were also curled in and small, my chin also looked strange and pointy, but I tried to brush everything off and was constantly reassured by the care in turkey team that it’s all apart of the recovery process, It’s over 4 months post op and I am still unhappy so I decide to finally go to a maxillofacial surgeon and get some scans done, it turns out they had broken my jaw and put some screws in and basically put it back in the same place, they completely broke my jaw on the right side, and with the genio they just made my chin longer vertically and left a screw sticking out into my gum. It was honestly a disaster and a lot to take in, I paid close to €16,000 for this, they did not advance or move my jaws in anyway, they just broke them and put them back in the same place with screws, they also used the wrong screws. I will now be going for a revision to remove all of these screws and plates from my face. To specifically go into more detail they did a bad split in the lower jaw and put inter maxillary facial screws which are the wrong ones, For the “genio” they broke everything and there is a space between the lower jaw and my teeth now and one of the of my gym the screws are protruding out and the others can be seen when I smile slightly through my chin, It is also the incorrect screw selection. On my jaw on the left side they broke my jaw and didn’t slide my maxilla forward or backward, for the plates above my teeth they just cut and broke my jaw and put plates in the same place where it originally was.
