Is there anything toxic by the mine? I visited; it's interesting and pretty. Went down to the water by the mine and it seemed kinda dodgy but maybe just motor oil and the kinda stuff that's unfortunate in any industrial area.

im from a small village . when i was young we had school,recreative center,firefighter,corner store with gas pumps. little dinner. none of this exist anymore. before the school closed they were about 10 kid.

The history and resiliency of nfld’s people to me is something most Canadians can’t even try to relate. From literally moving houses on barges down the coast to their contributions to war that crushed communities but yet, still continue to sing a beautiful song and smile doing it. Bless them all
