It’s been over 7 years and I still grieve my Nana who was my person. I was 7 months pregnant w/ my first when she passed & we already decided to name her after nana prior to nana passing. I’m devastated they never met.

Yeah it sucks and the empty feeling is worse. I remember when my cousin who was also my best friend died, I kept feeling like she was just going to come around the corner like normal. That fades with time but that kills me too.

I have been through the loss of my mother when I was 15 years old...she passed in a car accident that was my fault...I was driving...had my permit a month...made a mistake and she passed and another young man as well...it destroyed our family...she passed on my lap in the car...her last words were - take care of your dad- I took that promise to her so seriously- never married- me and dad were best friends- partners in life- I was his caregiver from 15 to 41..and lost him to covid in 2022...it has destroyed me...it gets worse each day...I understand...I look for him everywhere...it's like if i look hard enough I can find him...I died with him...I don't live anymore- just exist- i see those happy people- but I am just hopeless

I completely understand!! When my husband passes awau in December. I remember being in the supermarket shopping, and I looked around at everyone doing their thing. I just wanted to scream out loud “don’t you all know that my husband just died?”
