This sounds beautiful, but it’s not literally in the Qur’an or authentic hadith. What is true is that all souls testified to Allah being their Lord before birth (Qur’an 7:172). But there’s no proof that we saw our whole life or that Allah asked us 77 times. ❤️

Just to clarify, the idea that “Allah asked us 77 times if we wanted to live this life and we kept saying yes” is not from the Qur’an or any authentic Hadith. It’s more of a symbolic or cultural story some people share, but it’s not part of actual Islamic teachings. What is authentic is in Surah Al-A’raf (7:172), where Allah gathered all human souls before birth and asked, “Am I not your Lord?” and we all replied, “Yes, we bear witness.” This is known as the Primordial Covenant (Al-Mithaq), and it means every soul was created with a natural awareness of Allah (fitrah). But there’s no mention of Allah asking us repeatedly or 77 times. It’s important we share what’s truly part of Islam and be careful not to mix in made-up ideas, even if they sound nice︎
