not a dentist, but i live in a small village where everyone knows everyone and one day a guys tooth was hurting and he got drunk the same day and asked his sister who was also drunk to take it out with construction pliers, she did take it out but he passed out from pain and later was induced into a coma

I told my partner in clinic to prepare a shor needle for a buccal infiltration. He inserted the long needle. While I was giving the injection pt was screaming that the pain is sever and I was like I gave you topical and I am very gental with my injections. I then noticed the needle coming out from the chin. I almost knocked out my partner🤣

A patient used a kichen knife to remove a piece of a toothpick that was stuck between his molars, sliced open his gums and cheek. Happened my first week on the job😅

i was preparing a class 5 cavity on central incisor. i barely started, and then 3/4 of crown was in my hand. the way i had to act like everything was ok and not make the patient notice and get my mentor to try and fix it with me. we managed reattaching it and make it as aesthetic as possible because the patient had to go to a wedding party the same night. later she returned and got a crown.

my patient died. not because of dental.treatment but she suffered some cardiac issues. i kept.waiting.for her on her appointment day but received the news. it was devastating.for me

during uni I took silicone (light and heavy body) impressions for a bridge on a patient with advanced perio + interdental bone loss. It set inbetween teeth and we had to section the tray whilst it was in situ 💀

lady had an appointment with us and then the doctors after for a smear test, she came in the room and started pulling her pants down because she thought she was at the doctors… literally true story😂😂😂
