To my ears, Vietnamese is one of the most unpleasant-sounding languages. This has nothing to do with race. It’s purely about the sound of the language itself. If white French people spoke Vietnamese, I’d still find it harsh. If Vietnamese people spoke Italian, I’d find it pleasant. So it’s not a judgment on the people, just to the way the language sounds.

ppl in the comments be saying that Vietnamese is "ugly" but I disagree. Vietnamese is such a unique language. it sounds gentle and harsh, a kind of harmony. I like all languages so much but Vietnamese is one of the most unique ones I've heard, with the complexity, the grammar, the pronunciation, etc. it sounds drop dead gorgeous, I don't even quite get how ppl say it's harsh... because yes there's clipped words and such, but it's very soft as well. I love these different language covers smmm, they're all so beautiful, it shows there's not really any language that's ugly.

This hit differently, I’m viet and we don’t usually get covers or viet covers of things but hearing rdr mixed with my own culture and heritage makes me sad, it reminds me to be greatful for my herritage and not to push away such a beautiful language and culture. I always hated being viet as a child and I’m glad I could see this just listen to how beautiful my language is instead of hating it cause I was bullied as a child.
