hoping this is good but tbh i think it’s missing the point of what makes gmod special. Overdevelopment and overimplementation of fixed systems by the devs robs the community of the opportunity to make the game in their own image free from commercial oversight. Ppl are legit running on 1 cell if they think a cosmetics market is what was missing from gmod

a cosmetics system? the thing that made gmod was it's straightforward sandbox appeal, I love the more customization and options but finding out that I'll have to unlock stuff or buy things is a total annoyance because the fun thing about Gmod is I had everything from the moment I started.

Sorry man but the gmod is a unique game that last forvers and can never be replaced because 1. Its a game that does not get updates like normal games ( gta 5, minecraft, fortnite etc.. ) it only gets bug fixes and patches meanng that all the new and fresh content that you can want is already there in the steam workshop. 2. The graphics is are good enough, even when we make graphics ultra realistic to the point we cant tell it from the real world, garrys mod is still gonna look good enough to be played by then because they aren’t bad, theres a charm to the graphics and they are bearable, 3. Like number one, garrys mod isnt a story game or that needs sequels, you just stick with it and make it better by downloading mods and waiting for patches to fix any bugs in the game

The thing about gmod that made it great was all the tools and assets the just come for free with gmod especially with the workshop if this is trying to be a successor you’d need an INSANE amount of player tools not just customization

Everytime I play s&box I get 20 fps on my 3070 TI and the server TPS is abysmal. It needs more time in development the only use the game has in its current state are its open source Source 2 engine dev tools but not only are they outdated but also undocumented. Not to mention they completely scrapped parts of the engine that they promised the community they would update such as the Source 2 Filmmaker and Animation poser. The game doesn’t have the freedom and tools like Garry’s Mod or the engine capabilities of Half-Life Alyx’s dev tools.
