My son got mastoiditis from a cholesteatoma and got an abscess 2 mm away from his brain. No fever and Had been treated for multiple ear infections in the previous six months. When his ear started to turn forward I took him to the ER and after the CT it was immediate surgery…scary!

How do you dry the ear without qtips? I often get swimmers ear and use qtips to get the water out of my ear. I guess I was never taught to dry my ears right.

Out of curiosity do you have any tips on keeping your ears clean? I have a history of wax impaction and swimmers ear and while I know not to use q tips I really haven't found a good solution that helps avoid both

I had swimmers ear CONSTANTLY when I was a kid and had tubes in both of my ears. Finally, at age 6, I had my tonsils and adenoids removed and BOOM no more swimmers ear!
