so....I went to the catacombs with my parents... they gave us headsets and you would just follow the audio map. We didn't get a guide😶, we just followed the people. We would even stop to take pictures with the bones and even saw workers prep them...super cool

I had no idea where we were going when we went till I was looking at a skull. I touched it (just out of pure awe) and immediately got yelled at by the guards. It’s all good tho we went to Rome a few weeks later and saw the pope and he blessed us so I feel like it evened everything out but… it was def not a good place or feeling to be

Imagine this a group of friends go to the catacombs and you know that string that they use to find there way back they go in marking so they don’t get lost and when ghey were in here they hear noises they decide to go when there following the string picking it up they find the string cut and the rest of the sting gone now lost

I’ve been there, I can see if you go off lit path it’s very easy to get lost. Our guide showed us a black painted line on the ceiling to help people find their way out back in the day.

I remember this video footage and the guy could have used his camera to retrace his steps to where he came from, but it’s sad that he most likely perished and died alone in the catacombs and wouldn’t be found from a decade from now

i went there actually you don't need a guide since theres only one way to go all the other paths are closed unless you want to check out the less accessible areas then you cant go without a guide im pretty sure
