@kirstinczernek: One of the harder parts of a Luca being admitted for a month at a time is Tomas and I are two ships passing, one with the 3 bigs and one with Luca. We usually swap out in the parking garage because most of the time Lucas counts are too low for them to visit, we have to be really careful with his suppressed immune system for about 3 of the 4 weeks. Along with this, we very rarely get to be with the big kids or Luca together so when those moments get to happen, we savor them and they are truly so special 🤍 Obviously this journey isn’t an easy one but there are so many moments that we easily could have taken for granted in the past and now we get to be way more present and intentional, this has been a gift throughout this journey. We know how much time together and moments mean. Lukie continues to handle this round of chemo so well! No negative side effects, no additional variables. He’s been playing, snuggling, and so happy. Feeling extra grateful. Also and maybe most importantly, we are officially half way done with treatment!!
