I'm a senior and I lost my full ride 🩷🩷🩷 half of my school is paid for by an academic scholarship and the other half by financial aid. My mom got remarried and I lost my pell grant and my ky cap grant. My family does not contribute any money to my schooling. I pay myself and this year I'll have to take out a loan. I'm very grateful for the other three years where money wasn't an issue it's just so crushing to see that I don't qualify for the aid that I need while i'm in the exact same financial situation (if not worse). My parents financial situation changed, not mine, but being a dependant this does not matter. I was prepared for loans when it came to grad school but to take them out my senior year is so annoying because i'm almost done!! I have a 3.9 GPA and all I am taking this year is classes for my microcredit and my grad classes (through a bridge program). I should've been proactive and applied to more scholarships. #college #studentdebt #collegelife #fyp #foryoupage #foru #foryou
