I was robbed of this😭 the doctors ignored my symptoms of preeclampsia. For weeks I was soooo swollen. I was gaining 10+lbs every appointment. If gained 85 lbs from pre pregnancy weight by the time my son was born. He was born on 36 weeks exactly and I had to stay three days bc of the preeclampsia and he was in the nicu right away and I couldn’t see him the first 24 hours because I had spiked a fever after giving birth.

You’re so right. It hits different when it’s your last. Those were the only moments I had with just us 2. Siblings were waiting at home. I remember those nights well.
