The reason you need wifi is because virtual game card isn’t loaded onto your console, make sure to check if it’s loaded before travelling

And don’t quote me on this, but I think I read some where that if the system isn’t marked as you prime system. Then to play downloaded games it needs internet access. Swear I read that before switch 2 was even a thought. 🤔

If you didn't load your virtual cards on your system you essentially left them at home or wherever your other system is. Why are they all on your other system anyway?

if you have a switch 1 still connected to your account unlink it then link the switch 2 as primary

It wouldn't be like this if you had loaded your games before you traveled or done a proper system transfer when you set up your console. This happens because the last time you played those games was on another console

once you load the games onto the console, you never need Wi-Fi unless there is an update to the game

I had that issue when I got the oled and sold my other one. all my games would only play if I was connected to wifi. I had to deactivate my other switch and change my oled to my main console. I dont know about the switch 2 cause I only use it for switch 2 games and play my oled fir switch one.

Dude you just need to treat your digital games like physical ones. Make sure anything you want to play is loaded on the system before you go. It is annoying but entirely avoidable
