wow that's a failure of a rib as an American I'm embarrassed. You don't want the bones to fall off, ribs are supposed to be finger food so you can hold the bone and eat it. Whoever is trying to show British people American food needs to be fired here because they have failed at it. At least try to get it right.

Do pork ribs instead. Beef ribs are disgusting because they are way too dry on the inside and usually are burnt to a crisp on the outside. I’ve had them from everywhere around and it is the same thing. Do pork instead. trust me I’m a picky eater for a reason.
