just wanted to put this out here for any anxious girls, i’ve been taking buspirone since my 1st trimester for anxiety. i had good experiences with it pre pregnancy but if you aren’t able to take ur usual meds maybe look into it w ur OB. i have no side effects w it and it can be taken as needed or daily. <3

My OB is adding 1200 mg of calcium to help prevent pre eclampsia that I got with my first. Any insight into this? I can't find much

I’m not high risk for pre E but I did have a 39w3d stillbirth prior to this pregnancy so they have me taking it bc it has also shown to help prevent that

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I keep waking up on my back in the middle of the night. Will I have warning signs if it is cutting off oxygen to the baby?

While I was pregnant at about 15 weeks I was told I could start taking baby aspirin if I wanted to.. because I am 36 and considered high risk. I didn’t do it. I was too scared that I didn’t have enough information on it and I wanted to be as natural as possible for my baby. BIG mistake. I wish I had listened. My baby was delivered at 28 weeks due to sudden onset of severe preeclampsia. We’re in the NICU now as she fights for her life. I hate my past self for not having the right information and for not having listened.

With my last pregnancy I found a small study that showed taking baby aspirin at night specifically was the most beneficial. I had taken it in the morning with my first pregnancy (had high BP but never turned into pre e!) and with my second pregnancy my BP was starting off high at 12 weeks. I found that study and switched to taking it at night and immediately my BP normalized and stayed normal until 32 weeks. My OB had never seen the study but started recommending patients take it at night after that!

I cried when the MFM doc told me I could go back on my antidepressants. My first pregnancy they put me on them and when I moved the male OB took me off. I was miserable and begged for them at the hospital after birth. Unfortunately I suffered PPD and PPA and didn't take them as I should have. I eventually went back on and felt like a normal human again.
This time the midwives told me flat out they didn't want me to stay on the antidepressants even though I said I needed them. I was referred to MFM for a different reason but the MFM doc was appalled they told me I had to go off of the meds. I was sleeping tons and had active SI and wanted to SH. I wasn't working much bcs I just didn't have the will to do it. Now after 2 months on them again I feel like a real person without SI or SH thoughts. Happy and looking forward to my 2nd kiddo.

Yeah I asked about the baby aspirin ive only seen Mfm and he told me it was too late, they would have started me earlier. Why wasn't this suggested? Why did I have to ask about it on my own? Because now Im hospitalized with pre eclampsia. 🙄

At what week should baby aspirin be taken every day? I was prescribed it as soon as they confirmed I was pregnant because I had pre-e with my first. But I haven’t taken it consistently because of the nausea. Most days I take it but not every day

Are there any risks to taking baby aspirin without specific DR recommendation? I had blood pressure issues, but they were diminished more than I would have liked during and after pregnancy.
