ROCK CRAB CATCH AND COOK🦀 Growing up i used to go to New Jersey every summer to catch blue crab. Going for these guys were very reminiscent of that. The difference? Rock crab are much slower, and more powerful. Going for these sea spiders you can expect to see a range of colors in the tide pools. Orange and purple sea stars, light green sea anemones, red sea urchins (those are subtidal though). This is an easy catch and cook to make happen, the only thing about them is there is relative risk. If a crab gets a hold of your finger it can break it clean off. Be careful when handling/trying to catch them! They also have very hard shells, i recommend a meat mallet to open them after cooking. Rock Crab are near several other species you’re able catch and cook. Turban Snail, Sea Urchin, Limpet, Monkey-Faced Eel, and even more fish (I say “more” because eels are fish). Catch and cook content on all species mentioned will be released soon. RECIPE: WILD ROCK CRAB - Boil in fresh water for 8-10 minutes (or until the shells are bright red) Butter dip: Salted Butter Minced Garlic Soy Sauce Alternative Butter Dip: Salted Butter Minced Garlic Rosemary, Thyme, & Parsley I truly have no idea what im doing when it comes to cooking. I started making my first meals in the last month or so by looking up recipes online, it’s a lot of fun and way easier than i expected though! If I’m able to make these delicious things anyone can do it, you can do it too! Comment what i should go for next and tag cooking creators you want me to collab with! 🎣🥘 ##catchandcook##rockcrab
