i feel like the minecraft version is more relaxing, but the stardew more rewarding when you get a fish. i definitely feel like for a game like this the relaxed one i.e. mc would work better as a chill co op game

Just a fun suggestion...what if the fishing rod can be used to hook on yo things then like a spider swing can give you momentum, like imagine sledding down hill then hook a tree then drift turn fast or air swing if you hook the top of the tree. 🤩

I think Stardew mechanics wouldn't be great, because while some people love them, a lot of people don't. for a single player game you can just mod out the fishing mini game, but that wouldn't work so well for a game like this. personally, I like the animal crossing one, though I always wish it'd come with an ! when the fish is ready and not just the sound

What if the fishing system was another sledding game of its own? Something like a 2D version of sledding where you have to get to the bottom of the mountain without failing. Tougher fish means a harder decline
