Come to Riau, Taluk Kuantan! 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩 20-24 August 2025, Tepian Narosa, Teluk Kuantan, Riau Indonesia. The annual Pacu Jalur Traditional Festival, a signature cultural event in Kuantan Singingi Regency, has been officially included in the 2025 National Calendar of Events (KEN) curated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The festival, which showcases traditional boat races, is scheduled to take place this August and is among 110 featured events from across Indonesia. Riau Provincial Legislative Councilor Zulhendri of Inhu–Kuansing electoral district noted that growing public enthusiasm is reflected in the rising number of participants. This year, more than 200 teams are expected to compete, fueled by the emergence of newly built boats that began construction last year.

Tidak, pacu jalur bukan berasal dari Malaysia. Pacu jalur adalah tradisi olahraga air yang berasal dari Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, Provinsi Riau, Indonesia. Tradisi ini telah berlangsung selama ratusan tahun dan menjadi bagian penting dari budaya masyarakat Riau. Meskipun ada klaim dari beberapa pihak bahwa pacu jalur berasal dari Malaysia, terutama di media sosial, klaim tersebut tidak berdasar dan tradisi ini tetap merupakan warisan budaya Indonesia.
