@mall0rymcmorrow: When you’re a new entrepreneur, you want to get your product in the hands of as many people as possible. For Dayne, that product was beer. One problem: Michigan had one of the strictest self-distribution limits for brewers in the entire country, meaning he had to sign with a distributor almost right away. That made it harder to scale. Dayne wanted more brewers like him to have a chance, so he set out to change the law, with no idea how to do that. So the new brewer got a call back from a new legislator: me. Then we got to work. And in 2021, we raised the cap, helping breweries like Ferndale Project take more risks, try new things, and grow their way. We cut through red tape to make it easier on small business owners in Michigan. Let’s cut through more red tape in Washington. Cheers! 🍻
