i love the difference in the ways hosea and dutch talk about the women in their life, you can tell hosea truly still loves her and talks more about her as a person whilst dutch uses molly disregards her and uses his ex as an excuse for revenge on o driscolls

and to think hosea was never close with his family. he knew his father only three months of his life, his mother we don’t even know about. he lost both at seventeen, and lived a life alone on the run, and somewhere along the line he gets picked up by dutch and so quickly finds the love of his life. for a few years, he lives the life his childhood should’ve been, and then within that time period bessie was taken from him and he was forced to shoulder the weight of the loss of his wife while also comforting others for their loss of their friends and their lives. his whole life he ran for some sort of love and care for him, while giving it to others. just for the one person that loved him more than anything to be taken from him and to never be mentioned by anyone but him. ohhh bessie matthews ☹️☹️☹️

The differences between Hosea’s Memorialization of his dead lover and between Dutch’s is so interesting while Hosea explains her memories as the happiest he’s ever been and Dutch uses Annabelle like she’s nothing more than her death and that’s all she is in game.

I love Hosea so much, I love the way he talks about his wife, he loves in such a gentle way but is not so gentle to himself about his wife’s death, and there is a clear difference from the way everyone else talks about woman in the gang and the way he does, I love Hosea so much[cry][cry]
